Refund Policy
We want RetireWheel to be a tool you actually use. If it isn't the right fit, here is exactly how refunds work — no hidden language, no friction we wouldn't want ourselves.
This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions and forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee (First Subscription Only)
If you are subscribing to RetireWheel for the first time, you have 7 calendar days from your initial charge to request a full refund, for any reason.
- The 7-day window applies once per customer, on the first paid subscription.
- It does not reset if you cancel and re-subscribe later.
- It does not apply to renewals (monthly renewals at month 2, annual renewals at year 2, etc.).
- It does not apply if you switch from monthly to annual or annual to monthly within the same customer account.
To use the guarantee, email support@retirewheel.com within 7 days of your first charge. We will process the refund and close your subscription.
2. After 7 Days
After the 7-day window, RetireWheel follows standard SaaS practice: subscription fees are non-refundable.
This includes:
- Mid-month cancellations on the Monthly plan (you keep access through the end of the paid period, no partial refund).
- Cancellations during an annual term after day 7 (see Section 3 for the limited exception).
- Renewal charges. Renewals are clearly disclosed at signup and you can cancel auto-renew at any time before the renewal date from your account dashboard.
Forgetting to cancel before a renewal is not, on its own, grounds for a refund. We recommend setting a calendar reminder a few days before your renewal date if you are unsure whether to continue.
3. Annual Plan Downgrade (Discretionary)
If you are on an Annual plan past the 7-day window and decide the Monthly plan would suit you better, you may request a downgrade with a prorated refund of unused months, at the company's discretion.
How it works in practice:
- You email support@retirewheel.com and ask to downgrade.
- We calculate the prorated value of unused full months remaining on your annual term, minus the equivalent monthly rate ($19) for each month already used.
- We refund the difference to your original payment method and move you to a Monthly subscription going forward.
Example
You paid $228 for an annual plan and used 4 full months. We charge for those 4 months at the monthly rate (4 × $19 = $76) and refund the remainder ($228 − $76 = $152), then move you to monthly billing.
This is offered as a courtesy, not a contractual right. We may decline if there are signs of abuse.
4. Cancellation vs. Refund
Cancellation and refund are different things:
- Cancellation stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refund returns money you have already paid.
You can cancel any time from your account dashboard, with no contact with support required. Cancelling does not, by itself, trigger a refund.
5. How to Request a Refund
Email support@retirewheel.com with:
- The email address on your RetireWheel account.
- The approximate date of the charge.
- Whether you are requesting a 7-day guarantee refund, an annual downgrade refund, or something else.
- A short note on what is or isn't working (optional, but it helps us improve).
You do not need to justify a request under the 7-day guarantee — “not for me” is enough.
6. Processing Time
Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method via Stripe. Typical timing:
- We process the refund within 1–3 business days of approval.
- Stripe and your card issuer typically post the refund within 5–10 business days of processing.
- International cards or bank-issued credit may take longer.
If you do not see the refund within 10 business days of our confirmation email, contact support@retirewheel.com and we will track it down.
7. Original Payment Method Only
Refunds are issued only to the original payment method used for the charge. We cannot redirect refunds to a different card, bank account, or third party. If your original card has been closed, contact your issuing bank — they will typically forward the funds to your new account.
8. Fraud, Abuse, and Forfeiture
Refund eligibility is forfeited if we identify:
- Chargeback fraud (filing a chargeback while still using the Service).
- Repeated subscribe-refund-resubscribe cycles using the 7-day guarantee.
- Use of the Service in violation of the Terms of Service.
- False information at signup or during a refund request.
9. Disputes and Chargebacks
If you have a billing question, please email support@retirewheel.com first. We respond within 24–48 hours and can almost always resolve disputes faster than your bank can.
We treat chargeback-after-use as fraud. We treat genuine billing errors as a problem we should fix — please give us the chance.
10. Taxes
Any sales tax, VAT, or other tax collected at checkout is refunded along with the underlying subscription charge, where required by law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. The policy in effect at the time of your charge is the policy that applies to that charge.
12. Contact
